Happy Summer

It's so hard to believe we are at the end of another year. I will be starting year 30 in Albemarle County next year. Woah! I can't even fathom how many kids I have seen walk in and out of the doors each year between my time here and teaching in Florida. One thing I can say for sure is no 2 years have been the same.

We continued the toolbox project this year. We explored how our own personal toolboxes include the skills of Cooperation Assertiveness, Responsibility, Respect, Empathy, Self-Control, Attitude of Gratitude, Courage, Careers, and Growth Mindset. Whew! We were busy! But we definitely had some fun too.

I am going to take some time this summer to relax, re-charge, and re-motivate. I'm heading West this summer, including Lake Tahoe and visits to all of the Mighty 5 (the National Parks in Utah). I hope you all will find time to be together as a family and enjoy each other. See you in August!
