Welcome Back (Virtually)

So I'm feeling a bit like a first year counselor all over again. Learning how to be a virtual school counselor is certainly not without its challenges. But, hey, what a great time to model that growth mindset we encourage in our kiddos! I know I will make mistakes and I know it will be OK. I also know I am learning and growing every day and my brain is stretching so big!!

If there is one message I want to make sure I get out there it is, "I am still here!" I will be doing weekly lessons on SeeSaw that students can choose anytime of the week during their asynchronous time. And

I am available for individual and group support by Zoom. Parents are welcome to call or email me to request that I can check in with their child. They can also request a meeting with me (by Zoom or phone) by visiting my Calendly page. You can see my availability and choose a time that works for you.

Students can use my check in form to request a Zoom meeting. They can access this form through my web site or my virtual office (which is linked on their SeeSaw announcements). Students can request to talk to me about something or they can request a Zoom hang out.

One of the favorite a

ctivities when we were in the building was to request a lunch bunch ( a group of kids that would come in at lunch time and hang out with me and play a game together). In this virtual world our kids are really losing some of that social connection. So, I am planning on really focusing on these Zoom hang outs as a way to replace the lunch bunch and give kids a chance to connect with peers and be social during their day.

Well, here we go! We are going to make this work. Please let me know ANY needs you have or any way I can support your family right now.
